Physiotherapy

Your initial assessment ordinarily takes about 30 minutes. This enables your physiotherapist to assess the affected area and make an informed judgment about what form of treatment would be the best to ensure that we can work towards your goals and manage your expectations. Following this initial assessment your physiotherapist will be able to discuss and recommend a course of treatment to aid your rehabilitation.  During this assessment you physiotherapist should also be able to begin your treatment.

Any treatment sessions undertaken following the initial assessment usually last for 30 minutes per session.

Your treatment at Knebworth Physiotherapy Clinic is designed on an individual basis. From the initial assessment of your condition your physiotherapist recommends a course of treatment and exercise so that you can work together towards your rehabilitation. We use a range of treatments including joint manipulations, mobilisation, soft tissue work, myofascial release, exercises, Pilates, kinesio tape, electrotherapy, shockwave therapy, acupuncture and electro acupuncture. All of these techniques are used to relieve pain, and to help speed up recovery and restore full functional activity.

The clinic has close links with the local GPs, and we can accept private patients on a self-referral basis. If you are waiting for NHS physiotherapy, why not pop in for a couple of treatment sessions here?

Early treatment can really help speed your recovery.

Home Visits

Here at Knebworth Physiotherapy Clinic, we do offer home visits should you be unable to attend the clinic.  Over the years, we have also established good relationships with the local care homes so we can visit patients there, if required.  Gloudien Olivier is our home visit specialist.  She has a wealth of orthopaedic experience and is passionate about helping people to mobilise, especially after surgery, fractures and hospital stays.
